Q: The little hurdle

Don P, according to his talks, would sponsor people if they turned up at 6.00 a.m. at his house once a week.

I have a similar hurdle. I attend a 20-minute 7.00 a.m. meeting every day, on Zoom. I will sometimes suggest someone come to that every day for a couple of weeks. Most people say 'yes' and just do. Some people immediately say 'no' and then try to negotiate something else. There might well be showstoppers (e.g. someone whose working hours start at 7.00 a.m.), and those can be dealt with, with an alternative hurdle, but no one, as yet, has not technically been able to attend this meeting.

The fact is, it's going to be exceptionally rare for an external circumstance to absolutely prohibit that 20-minute Zoom slot, as it can be attended from anywhere with a phone connection: an Internet connection is not even required. If someone is going to be underground, they can complete the trip before 7.00 a.m. or start the trip after 7.20 a.m. People looking after kids dial in by phone with headphones as they make breakfast etc. If there's a will there's a way.

How this prospect is reacted or responded to by ... the prospect ... is illuminating and establishes the path forward. Or not.
